I've been trying to figure out how to launch my car at the track, I went this weekend and I wasnt getting consistant 60 foot times.

1st time
2.2 ( screwed/bogged the launch )

2nd time
1.9 ( best launch I had all day )

3rd time
2.4 ( spun the tires and just all around bad )

The 2-step that Im using is the one that comes with DSMlink, I have it set at 5250 and it builds about 9 -10 psi at the launch.

I dont know what else I need to tell you but if Im missing something let me know I just want to figure out what I have to do differently.

Are you automatic? I have my step set at 5000, slip the clutch out after some practice, but I've always gotten 1.7's and a few 1.6's.

Im running the stock 14b, Im attempting to see how fast I can go with it. The tires that Im running right now arent the best in the world, they are called firestone ovals or something. The tire size is 205/45/16.

The Talon is a 5 speed. I should just blame the tires and the track temp, in hindsight it was a cold day.

Even on a studder box you have to slip the clutch a bit. If your blazing all 4, lower your 2 step intill it hooks without bogging.
If your track is just plain shitty, launch on the 2 step at half throttle.
On the 14b it should be easy to get good launches since it's harder to overpower the track.
